Iowa City man accused of breaking into home, stealing jewelry

Authorities have accused an Iowa City man of stealing jewelry from a residence and attempting to break into several other houses.

Michael Cintron Caceres, 34, was charged Jan. 13 with two counts of third-degree burglary.

According to the arrest affidavit, Cintron Caceres was spotted attempting to enter residences in the area. He reportedly  successfully entered a house and rifled through drawers and cabinets.

When arrested, Cintron Caceres allegedly had several items of gold jewelry from the burgled residence in his pockets.

Third-degree burglary is a Class-D felony.
