Authorities have accused a Cedar Rapids man of possessing drugs.

Jojuan Simpson, 20, was charged Sept. 7 with possession of drug paraphernalia and two controlled-substance violations.

According to an arrest affidavit, Simpson was stopped by officers for not halting at a traffic-control sign, and the officer smelled narcotics. A search of the vehicle found marijuana, Xanax, and cash, the affidavit said. Simpson admitted to occasionally selling drugs, the affidavit said.

A controlled-substance violation is a Class-D felony.
