Iowa City Summer of the Arts’ free movie schedule released

This summer, Iowa City’s Summer of the Arts nonprofit organization will again be screening family-friendly movies for the 14th year.
The series begins June 9 on the University of Iowa’s Pentacrest lawn outside of Macbride Hall, and continues until Aug. 25. The movies range from the 1980’s classic “Pretty in Pink” to Disney’s “Mulan.”
All of the movies begin at 8:30 p.m.
Below is the 2018 schedule.
June 9 – “Wonder Woman” (2017)
June 16 – “In & Out” (1997)
June 23 – “Sing” (2016)
July 7 – “The Great Outdoors” (1988)
July 14 – “Pretty in Pink” (1986)
July 21 – “Kubo and the Two Strings” (2016)
July 28 – “Ghostbusters” (2016)
August 4 – “Hidden Figures” (2016)
August 11 – “Mulan” (1998)
August 18 – “The Muppets” (2010)
August 25 – “Star Wars, the Last Jedi” (2017)
In the case of bad weather conditions, the films will move to the Macbride Hall Auditorium. Click here for more information.
