The Iowa Athletics Department announced Wednesday that former Hawkeye wrestler Chris Campbell will be an honorary captain for the team’s upcoming dual with No. 1 Penn State Saturday in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Campbell won NCAA national championships at 177 pounds in 1976 and 1977 and fought his way to a 122-6-3 record while wearing the Black and Gold. A 1981 World Championship gold medalist and a bronze medalist in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics at 198 pounds, Campbell will be honored prior to the dual, which is set to begin at 8:04 p.m.
