An Iowa City man has been accused of possessing a fraudulent document.
Victor Morales-Campos, 22, was charged Sept. 29 with forgery.
According to an Iowa City police complaint, Morales-Campos was pulled over for speeding. The traffic stop sparked an OWI investigation, and he was arrested.
A search was conducted, and the officer found a “Permanent Resident Card” that Morales-Campos reportedly admitted was fraudulent. He had purchased it in Chicago for $50. The document had a variation of his name and a similar date of birth.
Forgery is a Class-D felony.
