Twenty-six of the University of Iowa’s graduate programs and colleges were ranked among the 24 best in the country among all public and private schools, according to the most recent U.S. News & World Report rankings.

The Department of Sociology’s social psychology doctoral program ranks No. 3 in the country, and the Carver College of Medicine’s rural medicine ranks No. 9 nationwide.

According to a UI press release, programs in the College of Education, College of Medicine, Tippie College of Business, and the College of Engineering also were newly ranked in the top 25.
