A former Hawkeye football player who pleaded guilty to an aggravated misdemeanor last week has been dismissed from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania football team, according to a team official.
Abe Satterfield, 21, was originally charged with second- and third-degree sexual abuse in connection with an incident at Hillcrest in October 2007. On April 9, Satterfield reached a plea agreement and now faces a maximum sentence of two years in prison and a fine between $625 and $6,250.
Satterfield has requested a suspended sentence; he will be sentenced on July 23.
Satterfield agreed to testify against former teammate Cedric Everson, who was charged with second-degree sexual abuse in connection with the same incident.
