ExxonMobil Foundation contributed $107,625 to the UI Foundation as part of the corporation’s matching-gift program, the UI announced Sunday.
When ExxonMobil employees, their surviving spouses, as well as retirees and directors of the company make a gift to the UI Foundation, ExxonMobil triples the amount and directs the money to the UI area designated by the donor, according to a UI news release.
UI Foundation President Lynette Marshall expressed gratitude for the contribution.
“This gift is a testament both to the employees … who generously chose to include the UI in their charitable giving, and to ExxonMobil, which supports its employees’ philanthropy …” Marshall said in a press release.
The UI acknowledges the UI Foundation as the preferred channel for private contributions benefiting all areas of the university. For more information about the foundation, visit www.uifoundation.org.
