Nikole Malina & Nathan Diercks

DI: What does being a Hawkeye mean to you?

Malina: To go to school with my friends, study hard, cheer on the Hawkeyes.

DI: What are you most excited about?

Malina: I’m excited to meet new people and pursue a career I want to be in.

I’m from Muscatine, and I grew up loving the Hawkeyes.

DI: How is Iowa City different than your hometown?

Malina: It’s definitely busier and bigger.

DI: What does being a Hawkeye mean to you?

Diercks: I think it’s so nice to be part of a big community in Iowa City. It’s really a family and to just thrive together.

DI: What are you most excited about?

Diercks: I think, I mean, new people go to sporting events … and other events [I] maybe haven’t done before and just branch out.

I’m … from Muscatine, and just living close by, being able to go to Hawkeye games and stuff just drew me closer.

DI: How is Iowa City different than your hometown?

Diercks: Busier, more fast paced, more stuff.
