Emily Hainstock

I’m from Lost Nation, Iowa, and I chose Iowa because I just really like the writing program. I’m a writer, so I just knew this was the place for me.

I guess my favorite part of OnIowa is definitely the people and getting to know the people that are around me, because I’m kind of awkward, so getting to make friends is a good thing.

I’m from a really small town, so this is a really big city, and I’m not used to that. I kind of want to get to know being on my own, exploring the city, exploring the different classes.
