To be a Hawkeye, I think that we all work really hard and that we all help each other as a community. I believe that Hawkeyes help Hawkeyes, and we’re all kind of a family to each other.

I’m very excited about the classes. Because coming to college versus high school, I get to choose the classes I’m doing, and so it’s more so going to be interesting things that I want to hear about. I’m most excited about meeting new people, especially because whenever I talk to other people about the University of Iowa outside of here, they always say everyone that went here loved it and all the people are so nice.

I am from the south suburbs of Chicago. It’s a little town called Richton Park.

One reason I came is because my father and most of his side of my family came here. But when I came to visit, I really loved the campus, and I did notice that all the people were pretty nice.

I think my hometown is more diverse, but it’s still different, and it’s nice to be in something different and see how different parts of the world are. In my hometown, I knew most people. Now I don’t really know anyone yet, but it’s nice to get to know more people who are around.
