A Chicago woman has been accused of shoplifting with a minor.
Dashay Rencher, 25, was charged on Dec. 10 with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, fifth-degree theft, second-degree robbery, eluding, and reckless driving.
According to the arrest affidavit, Rencher and a juvenile were visibly shoplifting at Von Maur in Coralville. The two were approached by Von Maur loss prevention, and Rencher threatened the employee with pepper spray. Rencher and the juvenile proceeded to physically assault the employee, the affidavit said.
Rencher was located in her car in Coralville and was approached by a law enforcement vehicle. When confronted by police, Rencher sped off and began cutting off other vehicles to elude police, the affidavit said.
Second-degree robbery is a Class-C felony.
