Three Democratic presidential hopefuls will be making stops in Iowa City this week. U.S. Senator from California Kamala Harris and author Marianne Williamson will be coming to the University of Iowa on Tuesday. Independent U.S. Senator from Vermont Bernie Sanders will be holding a rally downtown on Friday.

Williamson will kick off the week with an event at the Black Box Theater in the Iowa Memorial Union. The event begins at noon on Tuesday.

After visiting supporters in Cedar Rapids and Vinton on Tuesday, Harris will be holding a town hall in the Feller Club Room at Carver Hawkeye Arena. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and the event is scheduled to begin at 5:45 p.m.

Harris’ visit comes on the heels of the annual Linn County Hall of Fame celebration, where she and several other candidates will be making appearances to speak.

Sanders’ rally begins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the Pedestrian Mall, part of a series of “End Corporate Greed” rallies he will be holding across Iowa on Thursday and Friday.

It is Sanders’ first visit to Iowa after hospitalization for a heart attack caused him to cancel several events in the state in early October.
