UISG election results to be announced Monday

The results of this year’s UISG election will be announced Monday in the IMU. Three tickets ran for election.

The results of the University of Iowa Student Government elections will be announced at 5 p.m. Monday in the Hubbard commons of the IMU, according to UISG elections commissioner Sidney Martinez.

Voting for students took place April 3-4.

Three tickets ran in this year’s’ election.

Ignite Iowa, with presidential and vice presidential candidates Noel Mills and Sarah Henry, ran with 21 senatorial candidates.

Inspire UI, led by Alexia Sánchez and Madhuri Belkale, ran with 20 senatorial candidates.

The third party, UI charge party, is led by candidates Dady Mansaray and Adiu Arou.

Two independent candidates and several constituency senators were up for election, as well.
