Cedar Rapids man accused of choking, hitting domestic partner

Authorities have accused a Cedar Rapids man of attacking his partner.

Devan Stillmunkes, 23, was charged April 4 with domestic abuse/assault impeding the flow of air/blood causing injury. 

According to an arrest affidavit, Stillmunkes and the person were in a vehicle together when the person flagged down a police officer. The person said Stillmunkes allegedly engaged in choking and hitting during an argument. The person had visible marks around the neck.

Domestic-abuse assault impeding the flow of air/blood causing injury is a Class-D felony.
