PITTSBURGH – Iowa’s 125-pound Spencer Lee defeated Jack Mueller from Virginia, 5-0, to earn the second NCAA Championship of his career.

Lee grabbed ahold of Mueller’s leg to bring him down to the floor and kept control to roll on top, beginning the scoring for the match with the takedown. Mueller tried to shift his weight in the first period, but Lee – with already 2:07 of riding time, kept Mueller’s strength on top at bay with the control.

Mueller started the second on top and got Lee into a cradle, but Lee held his ground on bottom and forced Mueller’s second stall of the match to extend his lead, 3-0.

In the final 15 seconds of the match, Lee got ahold of Mueller’s leg again and rolled him onto his back for one last takedown before the clock ran out.
