Iowa men’s and women’s basketball both came out on top of their first-round NCAA matches on Friday, and several members of Iowa’s congressional delegation took to Twitter to congratulate the Hawkeye State’s victorious college hoops teams.

Democratic Rep. Dave Loebsack of Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District, which includes Iowa City, cheered on both teams for making it onto the second round.

Republican Sen. Joni Ernst, although an Iowa State Cyclone, encouraged the Iowa basketball teams to “keep it rolling.”

1st District Rep. Abby Finkenauer, D-Iowa, cheered on both teams while the women’s team battled for a victory on their home court.

Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley, a University of Northern Iowa graduate, weighed in to remind NCAA tournament viewers that NCAA hoops are made — quite literally — by rural Iowans.
