Bond Shymansky emphasized one thing — true mental toughness. This has become the culture on the Hawkeye volleyball team. Shymansky also added seven new players to the team roster. Iowa will kick off its season-opener in Nashville on Aug. 25 for a matchup against Southern Methodist. Additionally, Big Ten play will begin at Carver-Hawkeye against Michigan State.
