A University of Iowa student has been accused of sexual assault occurring in Burge residence hall.

Cannon Allen, 19, 25 Byington Road, is suspected of third-degree sexual abuse on either Nov. 12 or Nov. 13.

According to the arrest affidavit, Allen performed a non-consensual sex act on the victim in a room at Burge.

The victim stated to Allen during the assault she did not consent to his actions, the affidavit said, but Allen still continued.

Third-degree sexual assault is a Class-C felony.
