After leading major college football in interceptions (8) and total passes defended (26), Iowa All-American cornerback Josh Jackson has decided to forgo his senior season as a Hawkeye and enter the NFL Draft.

Jackson is widely regarded as a first-round pick and is the No. 1 cornerback prospect, according to Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller. A recent Bleacher Report mock draft had the Arizona Cardinals selecting Jackson at No. 15.

Jackson didn’t see the field on defense for the majority of his college career, but his tremendous junior season launched him to the top of NFL Draft boards.

Jackson will try to follow in the footsteps of former Hawkeye defensive backs such as Micah Hyde and Desmond King in having a successful career at the next level.
