NEW YORK — It seems as though the bowl-game version of Iowa showed up for the sixth-straight time. After one half of football, the Hawkeyes are losing, 17-10, to Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl.
The Hawkeyes have only managed to put up 56 total yards in 30 minutes of football; the Eagles have racked up 281.
Even though the game got off to a hot start with a Jake Gervase interception returned to Boston College’s 6-yard line, Iowa has struggled to get anything going offensively.
The defense hasn’t been much better, either. It has struggled to contain either the pass or the rush, and BC’s A.J. Dillon has rushed for 126 yards on 18 carries.

This game is reminiscent of Wisconsin, minus the Josh Jackson action. If Iowa hopes to win this game, it will need to figure out how to get more production out of the offense and how to contain BC’s offense, particularly on third down.
By the way, the open-air press box in Yankee Stadium is just a little bit colder than Camp Randall’s closed one.
