A warrant is out for the arrest of an Iowa City man on a willful injury charge.

Ronal Rarey, 66, address unknown, is accused of willful injury on May 7.

According to the affidavit, the victim and his wife walked past Rarey on East College Street. When passing, the affidavit said, Rarey called the victim’s wife a whore, causing the victim to approach Rarey.

Rarey pulled out a knife, the affidavit said, and stabbed the victim twice in the abdomen, resulting in the victim’s hospitalization.

Rarey admitted to stabbing the victim, the affidavit said.

Willful injury is a Class-C felony.
