1) Penn State (1-0):
Probably a little controversial here, but dang, did the Nittany Lions look good. High-powered offenses make the world go round.

2) Ohio State (1-0):
Just way too many weapons. The powerhouse continues its promise.

3) Michigan (1-0):
When your quarterback plays as poorly as Wilton Speight did, and you still win against a ranked team, you know you’re in for a special season.

4) Wisconsin (1-0):
Looked shaky in the first half against Utah State, but obviously didn’t look back from there; 49 unanswered points in a half of football? OK, settle down, Wisconsin.

5) Maryland (1-0):
Huge upset win. The lower half of the Big Ten is slowly gaining steam.

6) Iowa (1-0):
Josh Allen who? The Iowa defense stifled Wyoming all day long.

7) Northwestern (1-0):
Justin Jackson is too good, might be one of the top backs in the country.

8) Michigan State (1-0):
Didn’t prove much but got a win. Effort is fun.

9) Nebraska (1-0):
Not an impressive win per se but didn’t get upset. There is always that.

10) Minnesota (1-0):
Scored 17 on Buffalo. Good luck with the Big Ten schedule.

11) Purdue (0-1):
Faced a good Louisville team and didn’t get smashed. That counts for something in my book. Good on ya, Purdue.

12) Indiana (0-1):
Well what do you expect if you decide to play Ohio State Week 1? An upset? Don’t make me chuckle.

13) Illinois (1-0):
Lovie Smith, you are doing your best, and we all appreciate that. Good win.

14) Rutgers (0-1):
