Korean conversation club gains traction

Every Friday, one conversation group meets to practice a language not much spoken in Iowa City — Korean.

The group aims to teach students the language as well as knowledge about Korean culture.

“I come to KCG because I’m learning Korean,” UI senior Dan Gallagher said. “Speaking Korean with actual Korean people really helps me work on my pronunciation and understanding.”

Gallagher also said it is nice to have his peers there who can give him feedback on his speaking skills right away.
