Iowa quarterback C.J. Beathard earned the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award, sharing the honor with Nebraska running back Terrell Newby.
Beathard competed 15-of-25 passes for 215 yards and 3 touchdowns; he also gained 77 yards on the ground.
It’s Iowa’s first Offensive Player of the Week Award since Marvin McNutt on Oct. 24, 2011.
It was also announced that Iowa’s Sept. 26 game against North Texas will be aired on ESPNU with the kickoff slated for 2:30 p.m.
