Man charged with second-degree criminal mischief

Authorities have accused a Coralville man with defacing a victim’s apartment.

Arsenio Silas, 25, was charged Nov. 23 with second-degree criminal mischief.

According to online court documents, officers met with the victim, who said she had been dating Silas for four and a half months before breaking up with him because he bit her face.

Once she broke up with him, Silas went to her apartment to gather his things, but began destroying her property and drywall instead.

He smashed two flat-screen televisions, several table lamps, and picture frames.

Second-degree criminal mischief is a Class-D felony.
