Woman accused of attempting to stab husband

Authorities have accused a local woman with nearly stabbing her husband.

Stephanie Fisher, 27, was charged Monday with disorderly conduct, assault causing bodily injury or mental illness, and going armed with intent.

According to Johnson County court documents, Fisher found out her husband was reportedly cheating on her, went into their apartment, and grabbed a kitchen knife, golf club, wrench, utility knife, as well as other items.

Fisher then went outside to confront her husband and engaged in a verbal altercation. Fisher allegedly started throwing items at her husband and ended up reportedly hitting her child with a wrench in the thigh.

The child suffered redness and swelling.

Fisher also allegedly tried to stab her husband and then threw the knife at him.

Disorderly conduct is a simple misdemeanor. Assault causing bodily injury or mental illness is a serious misdemeanor. Going armed with intent is a Class-D felony.
