Man allegedly drove under the influence

An Iowa City man has been accused of driving under the influence.

Travion Hardman, 26, was accused on Jan. 31 with third-offense OWI.

According to an Iowa City police complaint, an officer pulled Hardman over for speeding. While talking to Hardman, the officer could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.

Hardman had slurred speech, blood shot eyes, and swayed while standing, the complaint said. He failed the field sobriety tests and his blood-alcohol was over .08, the complaint said.

Third-offense OWI is a Class-D felony.
