Cedar Rapids man charged with forgery

A Cedar Rapids man has been accused of leaving Scheels with stolen merchandise.

Daquan Jefferson, 18, was charged Oct. 29 with forgery.

According to a Coralville police complaint, Jefferson was observed leaving Scheels with stolen merchandise. During a search, he allegedly had six 20-dollar bills in his front pants pocket.

Each one of the bills had the same serial number, the police complaint said.

Forgery is a Class-D felony.
