North Liberty woman charged with burglary

A North Liberty woman has been accused of forcing herself into a residence where she was unwanted.

Lachelle Wilson-Jacob, 24, was charged Monday with third-degree burglary.

According to a North Liberty Police complaint, Wilson-Jacob went to the victim’s home to retrieve property. Witnesses stated it was made clear on numerous occasions that she was not wanted in the home.

Wilson-Jacob grabbed a man from inside the home, assaulted him, and ripped his shirt. She then forced her way past him and entered the home.

As she was leaving, she made verbal threats to the victim and threw a lighter at her, which hit her head.

Third-degree burglary is a Class-D felony.
