Nebraska geared up for success

After winning the Legends division of the Big Ten and making it to the Conference Championship game, the sky’s the limit in 2013 for the Nebraska football squad.

The team returns its leading rusher from 2012 in Ameer Abdullah, who amassed 1,137 rushing yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore. The Huskers two leading receivers, Quincy Enunwa and Kenny Bell also come back to help quarterback Taylor Martinez, who many argue is the best signal-caller in the conference.

Martinez said at Big Ten Media day that he’s looking forward to utilizing all the offensive weapons he has around him, but mentioned he’s most excited to see what Abdullah can do when he hands the ball off to him.

Still, Nebraska will likely have to face, and defeat, one of those two squads in the Conference title matchup if it has any aspirations of national greatness.

“I enjoy the challenge. We’ll see,” Pelini said.
