Woman charged with stealing from Von Maur

A Coralville woman has been charged after allegedly stealing pants from a Coralville department store.

Gwendolyn Bolen, 46, was charged Sunday with third-degree theft.

According to a Coralville police complaint, officers responded to Von Maur, 115 Iowa River Landing Place, on Sunday after receiving reports from employees who said they witnessed Bolen place a pair of pants in her purse and leave the store without making any attempt to pay for them.

After Bolen was brought back into the store, a second pair of the stolen pants was reportedly found.

Bolen has at least two prior theft convictions.

Third-degree theft is an aggravated misdemeanor.
