Cedar Rapids man charged with 3rd OWI

A Cedar Rapids man has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated after being involved in a motor-vehicle crash.

According to an Iowa City police complaint, Scott Clark, 38, was charged on Sunday with third-offense OWI.

Officers arrived at the scene of the collision on Westoverlook Road at Linder Point Campground and located Clark, who admitted to being the driver of white Buick Century involved in the accident.

Clark reportedly had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech, the scent of alcohol on his breath, and difficulty maintaining balance, leading officers to believe that he was intoxicated, the complaint said.

During preliminary breath testing, Clark registered a .121 blood-alcohol content.

Third-offense OWI is a Class-D felony.
