Trial set for woman found with ‘drug kit’

The trial has been set for a woman allegedly found with a “drug kit” under her bed.

Dawn Blaszczyk, 46, was charged on March 28 with possession of a controlled substance and endangerment. According to a police complaint, Blaszczyk’s 5-year-old and 2-year-old grandchildren were living with her at the time the drug kit was reportedly found.

Her pretrial conference is set for July 2 at 10 a.m., and the trial is set for July 16 at 9 a.m.

The complaint said the kit contained pills, marijuana, methamphetamine, and various other paraphernalia. A search by police officers also found containers with small amounts of marijuana, loose pieces of crystal methamphetamine on a mirror in the bedroom, and a tote bag full of broken crystal-methamphetamine pipes.

Blaszczyk is demanding a speedy trial.
