The Iowa City City Council approved the rezoning of the former Johnson County Crisis Center.
The ordinance rezones the area from Public (P-1) to Intensive Commercial (C1-1). The city’s Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the rezoning at their March 7 meeting.
The rezoning allows the county building to be converted to a general community service use.
