The Iowa City City Council approved a resolution approving the remodeling of the Ashton House.
The house was built in 1947-1948, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. It was flooded in the 2008 flood, and city staff recommended approval of the remodeling to prepare it for public use, conferences, and special events.
