A local man has been accused of grabbing his roommate’s neck and putting him into a headlock.

Eric Osgood, 24, was charged Sunday with first-degree harassment.

According to an Iowa City police complaint, Osgood allegedly forced his way into his roommate’s room.

Osgood allegedly grabbed his roommate’s neck with his hand and then put his roommate into a headlock, the complaint said.

The man did not suffer any injuries. However, Osgood allegedly made a threatening statement to the victim during the altercation. He reportedly told the victim, “Seriously, I’ll kill you.”

First-degree harassment is an aggravated misdemeanor.
