Iowa City police responded to a report of an armed robbery early Monday morning.
Officials responded to an alarm at 1:32 a.m. at Gasby’s, 2303 Muscatine Ave., after a person told the store clerk that he had been robbed.
The person was on the 2600 block of Muscatine Avenue when two males — one white, one black, both in the 18-24 age range — approached him. The person reported seeing one of the males having a large, black handgun, but the person was not injured during the incident.
Iowa City police are investigating.
