Trial for Iowa City’s alleged peeping Tom landlord likely to be rescheduled

The trial for an Iowa City landlord is “very likely” to be rescheduled.

Elwyn Miller, 63, is charged with 11 counts of invasion of privacy. He allegedly peeped on female residents through manufactured holes in the ceilings and walls of the residents’ bathrooms.

Johnson County prosecutor Anne Lahey said the state is not yet done collecting depositions for the case but be done by the time of the trial. She said she think it is likely the judge will grant the order of continuance soon.

At the pretrial conference Monday morning, Miller’s attorney, Mark Brown, requested an order of continuance for the trial, which is set for 9 a.m. April 9.
