Coralville man charged after shooting a vehicle parked in his driveway

A Coralville man has been accused of shooting a vehicle parked in his driveway.

Michael Bell, 56, was charged March 20 with second-degree criminal mischief.

Coralville police officers responded to a report of an armed subject who had just shot a vehicle.

After an investigation, officers contend that Bell discharged the firearm, the police complaint said.

He allegedly shot out the front passenger window and damaged the door panel, windshield, and wing window. The damage to the vehicle is estimated at $1,200.

Second-degree criminal mischief is a felony.
