A dog reportedly stolen from Petland was located and returned last week unharmed.
According to an Iowa City police press release, officers responded to Petland because a dog had reportedly been stolen. The police received numerous calls from members of the public who identified a potential suspect, the release said.
Police officials were able to locate the dog and return it to the store, the release said.
According to the release, charges are pending on the case.
