The state Board of Regents will interview the two finalists for the University of Northern Iowa’s Presidential opening at today’s meeting.

The third candidate dropped out from the race leaving Michael Wartell and William Ruud as finalists in the search. The candidates will be interviewed in a session closed to the public.  The Board has not specified when the announcement regarding the new president will be made.

Current UNI President Ben Allen said he would retire no later than July 1.  Allen was hired at the UNI in 2006.
