Man accused of stealing numerous properties

A Cedar Rapids man has been accused of stealing two laptop computers from a Build-a-Bear store in the Coral Ridge Mall.

Charles Evans, 24, was charged April 30 with trespassing, second-degree theft, and second-degree possession of stolen property.

According to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office complaint, the Coralville police received a complaint on March 21 that two laptops were stolen from the office of Build a Bear in the Coral Ridge Mall.

Police received information on May 23 that one of the computers was found at a business in Cedar Rapids, the release said.

Evans was also accused of stealing property totaling $2,397.56 from Wal-Mart on July 15-16.
