A Coralville woman was accused Thursday of attacking her ex-boyfriend.

According to a Coralville police complaint, Katherine Wells, 29, had lived with her now-ex-boyfriend, with whom she has had a child, for two years. She allegedly admitted to fighting with him, according to the complaint.

The complaint said Wells attacked her ex-boyfriend and began choking him. He suffered pain and exhibited visible bruises on his neck following the incident, according to the complaint. He also had a scratch on his lip, the complaint said.

Wells is charged with domestic abuse with strangulation, a Class-D felony.
