Man charged with possession of k2

An Iowa City man was accused of having possession of k2 after being pulled over.

Robert Hanseri, 26, 2903 Eastwood Dr., was charged Tuesday with possession of a controlled substance.

According to a University of Iowa Police complaint, Hanseri was pulled over for having the registration plate light out. The officer observed clear, plastic bags on the floor and wrappers of cigars and what appeared to be wrappers of k2.

Hanseri admitted to drinking and had green film on his tongue. He consented to a search of the vehicle, and officers found a clear bag contained a small blunt which Hanseri admitted to being k2 and a package of SYN Strawberry which Hanseri said was an illegal form of k2, the complaint said.

Possession of a controlled substance is considered to be a serious misdemeanor.
