Local woman charged with child endangerment with no injury

A local woman has been accused of endangering a child with no intent to injure the victim.

According to a complaint, Shianna Chambers, 21, was charged Feb. 26 with child endangerment with no injury.

Officers appeared at Chamber’s apartment regarding a cell phone that had not been returned to a coworker earlier in the day, the complaint said. When officers arrived at the apartment, they allegedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence.

A number of marijuana blunts were found in the residence and within the reach of the two minor children, according to the complaint.

Child endangerment with no injury is an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison and a maximum fine of $6,250.
