The Iowa Department of Transportation has created an open online center for feedback on a proposed passenger rail train.
The department, working with the Federal Railroad Administration, is considering five possible passenger rail routes through Iowa, one which would connect Chicago to Omaha. The route would include stops in Joliet, the Quad Cities, Iowa City, and Des Moines.
