Iowa City man arrested after exposing himself at library

Iowa City police arrested a local man after he allegedly exposed himself at the Iowa City Public Library.

Eusebio Rodriguez, 49, 831 Crosspark Ave. #1C, was charged Aug. 22 with indecent exposure.

According to a complaint, to people said they were in the children’s section of the library reading on a couch when they noticed Rodriguez sitting at a table across from him. The alleged victims told police his penis was erect and fully exposed and he was touching it.

The complaint said security cameras captured Rodriguez entering the libarary and children’s section, and leaving at the same time as the alleged victims.

Rodriguez told police he was in the children’s section scratching his groin, which caused him to get an erection.

Indecent exposure is a serious misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail and a maximum fine of $1,875.
