Johnson County sheriff’s deputies report that an Oxford woman assaulted her husband with dangerous weapons early Wednesday morning.
Twenty-six-year-old Callista Ann Parmenter allegedly attacked her husband with a 40 oz. beer bottle, which caused bruising.
Deputies said Parmenter displayed a large kitchen knife in a “threatening manner” and upon picking up a second knife, held it to her husband’s neck.
The man sustained a small cut and several red marks, deputies said.
Reports said the assault took place in the couple’s home while two young children were inside.
Domestic-abuse assault with intent and display of a weapon is an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison and a maximum fine of $6,250.
