Iowa City police are investigating a robbery reported over the weekend.

According to a press release, an adult woman told officers she had her purse stolen Sunday while on the 400 block of East College Street.

The release said the woman was walking alone around 2:10 a.m. when a 5-8 man with tattoos on both forearms grabbed her, threw her to the ground, stole her purse, and took off running.

The release said she was not injured in the reported incident.

Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
